I am an aspiring freelance copywriter — as a side hustle to earn some extra money.

The copywriting bug has taken a good bite out of me.

Robert Bly mentions in The Copywriting Handbook that a smart approach to writing copy is to observe customers and how they shop.

In a supermarket I do that often, without thinking. I’m on autopilot when it comes to observing how customers shop.

It is like a fishbowl. Customers walk up and down the aisles filling up their carts, baskets or hands. Constantly moving.

It is no wonder why companies don’t pay stock clerks or fast food workers a good wage — well above $9 an hour — to question them and pay them for their analysis instead of someone who read a textbook.

A stock clerk or store associate can tell you how customers shop and spend.

Anyway, if you are new to copywriting, or not, you can benefit from this copy to sell food and or grocery products.
